Riverview Boulevard runs west along the south bank of the Manatee River from the downtown riverfront near the Manatee Performing Arts Center, under a canopy of river oaks, past stone houses that date to the 1930s. Enclosures here are later additions: screened porches fitted to stone and stucco, and pool cages on lots that slope to the water.
The oaks are the whole point of the boulevard, and they are also what the 2024 storms worked on. Milton's wind came through the canopy, and what fell landed on the cages below. A bent top rail or a crushed corner says a limb came down; a cage that stayed whole but now rattles at every joint says its screws flexed through Debby, Helene, and Milton in a single season. Aluminum frame repair handles the first, stainless fastener replacement the second, and lanai and porch rescreening covers the screened rooms on the older houses.
Riverview Boulevard is inside the city, so permits go through the City of Bradenton, and a lot at the water's edge that falls in a flood zone needs one.

Made safe first, photographed before anything comes down, then rescreened. The post-storm workflow for cages and lanais from the river to the island, with the queue stated plainly.
Full or partial mesh replacement on aluminum pool enclosures. Walls, roof, or the whole cage, new spline throughout, mesh matched to salt and sun exposure.
Single panels and small sets: torn mesh, blown spline, sagging sections. Mesh matched to the existing weave so the repair disappears.
The diagonal bracing cables are part of the cage's wind engineering. Tension, corrosion, and anchor condition checked; slack or rusted runs replaced before June.
Every screw connection renewed once with marine-grade stainless steel. Decades of wind cycling fatigue the originals quietly; rust at the heads is the cage asking.
Fresh mesh and spline for under-truss lanais, screened porches, and patio rooms, with doors and kick plates renewed at the same visit.
Bent or creased members replaced, racked door openings squared, kick plates and gutter-line attachments repaired. The structural work short of a rebuild, permitted where required.
